I am home home

Yesterday at 8:05 am German time, I landed in Frankfurt. I took a ICE (InterCityExpress-a very fast train-you can see it in the backround) and finally arrived in Nürnberg at 12 o clock midday. There my sister and her kids and Papa welcomed me with opened arms. Really nice!

Reading story with Max and watching a Christmas-story on DVD- he is talking so much already now, it's amazing :)

Leonie, my Godchild, is telling me stories as well, she never stops, such a story teller and a nice warming fireplace- really need it, it's bloody cold here...

I am staying with my Dad in Lauf, he is moving at the moment. Don't have a mobile number yet but trying to organize one today and will let you guys now. So far contact me via Internet. Wow, back to Germany....weird =)

To celebrate the existence of (Beach-) Volleyball, there is an Old School Bash Tournament every year. We played dressed up like in the 80`s, just really crazy, neon bright colours....it was hilarious I tell you =),

Outfit shopping....that was the first piece I tried and I didnt feel quite comfortable in it.... it was amazing, there is this shop here called SUPRE and they had all these really really crazy clothes....I honestly needed a rest after that cos my eyes were just blinded and shocked.

we played with old school balls and old school rules: 9 x 9 metre court, old counting, serve is not allowed to touch net, block doesnt count as a touch itself....

I played with Sal which was awesome fun.... "woohoooooo ännabobänna lets goooooo" she is quite a loud person =) and we came third which is really good as well regarding we both havent trained in a while and the other teams are in the big squads and playing national tour and stuff *thumbs up* great last weekend in oz, bye bye beach and sun and beachvolleyball and people :-/

She also takes care of little chicken Anna when there are days that are not that nice and I just need somebody to listen- thanks so much for that, Mandy!! I didn't play that comp cos Midge had to pull out pretty late but I played photographer and enjoyed a weekend at the beach

Moffat Beach QVA Tour

A volleyball day just about to start....everything/body still bit sleepy at 7 am on a saturday morning

On the weekend between my two exam weeks there was another comp from the Queensland Volleyball Association at Moffat Beach. Was a really nice venue I haven't been before. Even I had exams on monday tuesday and thursday I played that event cos I couldn't be bothered to stay home for more studies.


I felt so drained and just decided to trust myself and my long term memory and all the work we did beforehand a few weeks ago for all the practical stuff. Not keen for any cramping on the days before exams- rather went to the beach and played ball which was just more than fantabolous-loved it.

In Australia there are public BBQ everywhere so families just come down to the beach and have massive BBQs, let the kids run around and swim, go for a swim/walk/surf and just enjoy life. I really really like the atmosphere because everbody really just switches off from work, enjoys and relaxes OUTDOORS next to a really nice beach.

Midge and me...not sure if you guys remember, but played end of last season in january february this year with her. She is just awesome and we get along really really well on the court. Both not too loud and we wouln't blaim or have a go at each other but rather have fun, don't take it too serious and just play ball. We came 4th, which is really good regarding that we both haven't trained in ages and also haven't played together consequently.
