The place to be

On Alex' last day we went to Southbank, a very nice area next to the lake with "the beach" and cafes and restaurants and ice cream parlors and markets...only good stuff :) and really enjoyable!

That's how it looks like when you allow a backpacker to stay in your room :-P I did exactly the same LOL: as soon as I stayed somewhere for longer my backpack seemed to explode and spread my belongings EVERYWHERE. But don't you worry, Alex, I really enjoyed the time with you here. Who cares... ;)

Mensch jetzt bin ich schon wieder nicht zu Hause für Muttertag....

Ich drück dich aber ganz lieb und sag DANKE für die ganze Unterstützung, die du mir gegeben hast und gibst. Ohne dich wäre nämlich mein ganzer Traum hier zu studieren nicht in einer Million Jahre realisierbar gewesen :-* THANK YOOUUUU! Aber wie du aus den ganzen Telefonaten raushören kannst, ist das hier alles GENAU das, was ich mir vorgestellt und erträumt hab,wenn nicht sogar besser :) Muss nur durchhalten und dann bin ich bald ein berühmter Physio HAHA =) An Weihnachten kann ich dir dann schon Massagen geben und deine Haltung und Bewegungen analysieren! Ich hoffe meine Brüder bereiten dir einen schönen Tag ;)

One highlight you shouldn't miss here in the widespread Brisbane is the lookout down from a hill. It's an awesome view because the lights as far you can see and about 270° around you seemed to devour you. Most of the people were couples enjoying the romantic atmosphere and as we didn't want to be undoing we tried to take some good shots.

Some quite strange feelings came up when I reached the top of the mountain because one year ago Ryan showed me this spot and I had to leave back to Germany just two days later and I was just devastated because at that point of time I didn't know what life would bring for me and if I would ever see Ryan and Australia again :( And now, I AM actually here showing Alex around.....WOW.....I'm the person who lives here now and feels a bit sorry for people who gotta go home. Quite amazing for me!!

Chocolate feast :-P

Fortunately I'm not the only freak here in the house, pretty much everybody can get exited about good food and choki and then we had a new supporter as well: Alex....she loves it ;) Well, the fact that Alex hasn't had "Rocky Road" yet, we had a reason to prepare one. That was the very only reason :-) In fact, both Alex and me were begging for 2 days and finally he lost a bet and thus had to prepare one for us- score!

Beanie used the possibility to bring me in very close contact with my chocolate....I had no chance....I'm always his victim, using me as a screen drawing with chocolate on or tickling until I can't breath anymore....yeah, it's not always easy with the boys who are simply stronger than me. But I still have a concealed weapon: Ryan and Beanie ask me for a massage every now and then and I could also say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :) So watch out boys ;)


Beanie in full action....for everybody who doesn't know Rocky Road: it's marshmallows and jellies and sometimes nuts covered in white or dark chocolate. Here Beanie was super busy with melting our drug in the microwave AND in the pot.

Our ingredients were a packet of marshmallows and jellies, both lying ready in the tray to enjoy a bath of chocolate. Altogether we had 4 blocks of white chocolate (each 250 grams!!!) and two 400 g dark blocks. In the end this tray had a striped HUUUUUGE rocky road- soooooooo good =)

Yep, you are right, we had raclette again :) With Alex being a good eater as well and Ryan loving it, we had another long nice dinner together... yummo
