I am back in Australia

Here I am...back down under... making Pizza. It's really hot at the moment, clothes, socks, jackets bye bye =)
The flight was really ok, I was surprised. The time went pass so quickly. I slept a lot, that must be the reason. But this time I got super swollen ankles, I looked like an elephant. Didnt moved enough but by now I look normal again, fortunately. So if you will every fly long time, you really really gotta do lots of exercises!

I have the nice view into the green again from the bed...uhhhhhh the windows are dirty ;)

We spend the weekend on the beach watching the National Tour of Beachvolleyball and I got burned immediately. The others had to put on their sunnies when I took of my shirt- pale pale ;)

and I got my beach back- perfect!

Snowboarding

Queenslander Ryan in the white

It was the first time for Aussie Ryan to be surrounded by the white. With my cousin's help Florian we tried to teach him how to snowboard. Thank you again, Flo, you did a great job

I love this shot

at lunch time inside

or outside the cottage. Yes indeed we sit outside even if minus degrees, in the sun it's fantastic and you also need sunscreen if the sun comes out

this is typical skiing food: Germknödel- a special sweet dumpling with vanilla custard and poppy seeds and mush/jam or this meaty soup- Gulaschsuppe

yaay, I'm in the snow

fantastic view from the top of the mountain although it was very overcast and stormy when we went up there

teacher and student :)

Berlin Berlin, wir fahren nach Berlin

New years at the Brandenburger Tor..it was just huuuuge, over one million people. Pretty crowded but I reckon it's an experience :)

Ryan at some leftovers of the wall

the car that you can see in the backround of these two pale ghost persons ;) was the typical East-car. If you wanted one, you had to order it to get it maybe 2 years later. Everybody had them.

the very stylish East Ampelmännchen- i love them. Already have a bag and sweatshirt with that motif :)

the Dom

Alexander Platz with the big Alex in the backround. We wanted to have breakfast in the sky restaurant but it was closed on the 31st, bummer.

what to say.... Ryan with his favourite food: Brezen. We couldn't pass a bakery without buying any. He's an addict!

pretty cool photo of the Alex

fancy buildings in our capital

parlament

the "Siegessäule" Jeees, the roundabout with the 4 lanes made me kinda nervous cos the snow covered all the lines....we made it through but.

ohoh Aussie driving on the right side of the roas- ruuuuuuuuuun =)

on the way up to Berlin I got bored at some stage, that's the result....

Oma und Opa

On the 27th already, we continued seeing family and went to my Omy und Opa as they haven't been with us over X-mas. Our present was to cook for them while they can totally relax while we manage everything.

Oma however always wanted to help her grandchilds but regarding chinese food Kim is more experienced I guess :)

Our chef has everything under control

Ryan had his tasks, too :)

we made a pretty big mess in the kitchen but we also cleaned it but our grandparents only rolled with their eyes when they had a quick look in the kitchen-haha

that was our meal, a chinese soup with prawns, mango and lime...mhmmmm. Something very new for our grannies, too. And apparently they liked it, at least they said so-haha :) Mission accomplished

Oma Liesl, Ryan, my brother Kim und Opa Albert

typical houses in Kronach
the view from the upper city which is within the walls and where the soldiers always defended their castle

this is/was a very popular scene for painters with the river and the old city in the backround, the towers and the castle and a freezing Aussie guy ;)

Opa giving us a tour through Kronach

that's where they live
when my Opa was a little boy it was his dream to live in that tower =) He's been in Kronach his whole life, pretty impressing
