06.12. Nikolaus
On Nikolaus, my Dad took us older girls, my two nieces Lisa and Nadin and me to the Nikolaus without telling us what was goin on. We only knew we had to put on warm clothes and that it could take to 11 pm. What the **** is going on? Not an idea. We started to make bets in the car with suggestions aaaaand I actually came up with the right thing: a trip to a very nice and cosy christmas market.
that was such a nice old house...wow...and then all these things to buy and lights and candles and glühwein and sweets and nice sent- loved it =)
After an hour drive into uncertainty (can I say that?? :) ) we ended up at "Hexenagger" a sooo nice old Christmas market. Really lovely christmasy (uhm yes...the english is fading...oh well) It was set up around an old castle with lights and candles EVERYwhere. Awesome atmosphere....

the adventcalendar with one window being opened for every day and on the 24th the big gate with the nativity scene
that was the way down from the castle (along the illuminated little trees) and the wall with hundreds of holes and candles. how romantic :)
the view over one part of the market
another very very old house...the rooms very so small and flat. the people must have been so little. not good for volleyball people ;)
and here women and.....yes....food...what else- haha. we had langos, love love love it, yum yum!

the flight
When I was looking outside the window over Jakarta I had to look twice as I wasn`t sure if I was halluzinating seeing mountains or vulcanos in 36000 feet, but looks like, hay? Had a look on different maps and there are actually a few high mountains....pretty cool I think and something different after clouds and clouds and maybe sometimes if you are lucky....clouds, yeah =)
sunrise over europe, my camera didn't catch the actual real bright colours through the window....bummer
After we got fuel in Singapore and we could get out of the plane to stretch our legs for half an hour, we flew all the way to Abu Dhabi where I had to change planes and wait for 1.5 hours. The airport was quite small, especially in comparison to Dubai but was decorated quite nicely or in western style.
